Nothing Settled!
June 20, 2008
Phi Delta Slam &
Dustin Rhodes were set to face Team 3D & Dok Rivers at Summer
Showdown in a match stemming from blatant interference on the
part of 3D and Rivers at CCW's 4th Anniversary event. Alas, this
six man tag match never took place as Dok and Dustin were both
out with injuries.
Team 3D and Phi Delta
Slam both own and operate wrestling schools so it became a battle
for training center superiority as Team 3D replaced Rivers with
their student Ben Dejo while PDS replaced Dustin with JB Cool.
The match was also changed to a no disqualification match and
tables were fair game. With pride and reputations on the line,
all six men went at it tooth and nail. When all the dust settled
JB, Bruno, and Tillie got their hands raised after the one, two,
three. Team 3D then did what they have become so famous for and
put poor Ben Dejo through a table!
At the end of the
day nothing was settled between Phi Delta Slam and Team 3D. Brother
Ray could be heard throwing chairs in the locker room and saying
he and his brother D-Von are far from done with the frat boys.
PDS really raised the ire of The Dudleys when Tillie dropped his
400 pound frame off the top of a ladder and splashed the Syrian
Slasher through a table back at Hardcore Holiday 2007. Team 3D
won't be satisfied until both Bruno and Tillie go crashing through
a couple of tables and they reclaim their titles as the table
masters. This, unfortunately, will not happen at Summer Heat on
July 26th in Coral Springs as Team 3D has previous commitments
with TNA Wrestling on that date. CCW management and Harry Venis
in particular says that match will take place in a CCW ring this
year so stay tuned for details forthcoming and we hope to see
everyone at the matches!
