Dustin Turns on Bruno!
Cage Match Scheduled

9/7/08

Last month at Summer Heat the team of Dustin Rhodes and Bruno Sassi ran like a well oiled machine as they defeated the tough duo of Dade County Collision. It was just following that match that the machine began to sputter. Instead of celebrating, Dustin became irritated that Bruno got the pin instead of him and the two argued quietly amongst themselves for several minutes before heading back to the locker room. Seth Gregg tried to diffuse the situation as the three left the building together for some dinner in an effort to put all this pettiness behind them. Bruno was seen days later at Bodyslam University with a black eye. Everyone assumed that this little disagreement had blown up into something much worse but Bruno insisted that the shiner was a result of the match with Dade County Collision.

Fast forward to September Fallout where Dade County Collision successfully lobbied for a rematch with Bruno and Dustin. After a tough battle, the team of Sassi and Rhodes once again got their hands raised in victory. The aftermath of this match was something that many saw coming but none wanted to believe. After the pin, Dustin was battling Kaotic Romeo and Tito Barrera outside the ring and ended up brawling into the locker room area while Cash Money Alex G. and American Taliban attacked Bruno at the behest of Harry Venis. Bruno wound up handcuffed to the top rope and was unable to defend himself against this two on one beat down. Seth Gregg ran back to get Dustin who ran in wielding a steel chair as Cash Money and Taliban scattered. Everything seemed fine as Bruno was released from the cuffs but as he turned around Dustin leveled him with a steel chair!

Harry Venis was at ringside and had a knowing smile on his face. One can't help but think that the crafty politician had something to do with this as he is a master manipulator and insiders are speculating that Venis took advantage of Dustin's frustration at Summer Heat and planned this whole scenario out. Another contributing factor to that theory is that immediately following the chaos at September Fallout a contract for a match between Sassi and Rhodes was ready and waiting in the locker room. Both men readily agreed to face each other but then CCW President Gordo D. Pallone added a stipulation. Due to all the outside interference that seems to happen during any match that involves Harry Venis or his men, it was ordered that this match take place within the confines of a steel cage!

The contract is signed and sealed and at Octoberfist on October 4th in Coral Springs the cage match will be delivered. Wrestling fans, this is a match that is not to be missed so be sure to tell your friends and neighbors and we'll see everyone at the matches!
