Can The Champ Be Beaten?
7/30/09

Coastal Championship Wrestling Heavyweignht Champion Dok Rivers may be unbeatable. His tremendous talent aside, he has had a secret weapon with him since capturing the gold from Dustin Rhodes more than a year ago. That weapon is his dastardly manager who also just happens to be the CCW Commisioner, Harry Venis. Rivers has faced wrestling legends like Jimmy Snuka, The Warlord, and Tyson Tomko. He has gone against CCW up and comers like The Dirty White Boy and Ernie Alexander. He has squared off with CCW veterans like Bruno Sassi, Shane McLane and Chaz. Each time he has walked away from the ring with the gold around his waist, a big grin on his face, and Venis at his side saying "Stick with me champ and you can't lose!"

His greatest challenge however, both before his title win and since, has come from none other than "Showtime" JB Cool. These two have battled for years in CCW with Showtime yet to gain a victory. Many of their matches end in a time limit draw as they know each other so well that a pinfall or submission is not easy to come by inside of the normal 20 minute time limit. Others have ended in favor of Rivers with an assist from our friendly neighborhood Commissioner, Harry Venis. No matter the outcome, it's clear that JB has Dok's number but just hasn't been able to pull the trigger. Venis and Rivers were reluctant to even give Cool a title match but the order came from CCW President Gordo D. Pallone and on August 22nd at Summer Fallout in Coral Springs JB will get his chance. Insiders have seen him at Jimmy Snuka's Bodyslam University training harder than he ever has before. He knows with Harry Venis as matchmaker in CCW this may be the only chance he gets. He also knows that with Venis at ringside his task will be that much more dificult. JB has vowed to go for it with reckless abandon and says with the CCW fans in his corner he will achieve victory! Can the champ be beaten? We are sure to find out on August 22nd in Coral Springs and we hope to see everyone at the matches!!!
