Attitudes and egos galore
fly around Jimmy Snuka's Bodyslam University on a daily
basis as the up and coming stars of professional wrestling
hone their skills as many as 7 days a week. It isn't
unusual for a little bad blood to brew during the spirit
of competition one sees regulary at BSU. A particular
situation, however, has been escalating for months has finally
come to a head. Dade County Collision member Kaotic
Romeo, backed up by his partner TKO, got into a heavy pushing
and shoving match with Dan Evans and was quickly broken
up by several other wrestlers and trainers that were in
the ring at the time.
Dan Evans the ring announcer?
What most CCW wrestling fans don't know is that Dan
Evans was an original member of Phi Delta Slam with his
partner Bruno Sassi and wrestled all over the United States
and Puerto Rico for the better part of 15 years. Injuries
sustained in a car accident sent Evans out of the ring and
behind the microphone just months after CCW had its very
first event back in 2004. Unable to leave the ring
completely behind him, Dan became a trainer at Jimmy Snuka's
Bodyslam University.
BSU graduates Kaotic Romeo
and TKO continue to polish their skills at the school and
their tremendous growth in talent is only equaled by their
growth in cockiness and attitude. Evans, being very
experienced in the art of tag team wrestling, has always
been eager to help Dade County Collision to improve as a
team. At first any pointers given were graciously
accepted by the pair, but as they gain more experience and
confidence any suggestions offered by Evans were met with
"WHATEVER Dog! When was the last time you had a match?"
After ingnoring their taunts
and challenges for months, Evans had finally had enough
and the pushing and shoving ensued. A final challenge
was made and accepted. This Saturday, April 25th Evans
will leave the shirt and tie at home and lace up his boots
one more time as he and his long time partner Bruno Sassi
face Dade County Collision in a special challenge match
as part of a Coastal Championship Wrestling event at Jimmy
Snuka's Bodyslam University. Romeo and TKO have
promised to make the car accident that put Evans out of
action seem like a skinned knee compared to the beating
they'll put on him this Saturday. The stage is set
as youth goes against experience. Who will come
out on top? We'll all find out at the matches
and we hope to see everyone there!
